Naturally, my background in design, experience abroad and shift of careers all translate into the character of both my personal and commissioned work: Whether portraying people or photographing a travel story — spaces, objects, textures, surfaces and colors are central to my visual exploration of how an environment reflects unique practices and passions or a cultural context shapes our values and ways of being. As the designer I hear all things talking; as the photographer I capture their message. With a particular interest in portraying personalities within the context of their specific undertakings and environments, I seek to showcase examples of lives and professions that are not driven by passion, values and authenticity.
